INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF) Recruitment 2014 : Air Force has announced fresh recruitment for commissioned officers in Meteorological Short Service Commission. The details for this is mentioned below:
Qualification Eligibility: MSc(Botany / Agricultural Botany, CS, Mathematics / Applied Mathematics, Phy, Stati)
Job Place: Delhi, India
Closing Date of Application Registration: 21-03-14
Indian Air Force, inviting applications from Commissioned Officers in Meteorological Branch (137 Ground duty/30 SCC)
Post Offered / Branch: Meteorological Branch
Courses: No. 30 SSC (Short Service Commission)
Educational Requirement : Post graduate degree in any discipline of science with a minimum aggregate percentage of 50% in all subjects such as Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Computer Applications, Environmental Science, Applied Physics, Oceanography, Meteorology, Agricultural Meteorology, Ecology & Environment, Geo-physics & Environmental Biology all together (given Math & Physics if had studied at Bachelors Level having aggregate 55% marks minimum).
Note : Applicants in final year or semester can also apply if they fulfil the above criteria
Physical Requirement:
For Men Contenders –
Height: 157.5 cm
Weight: Correlated with height
For Women Contenders –
Height: 152 cm
Weight: Correlated with height
Note: All the other Medical Criteria and formalities will be Determined & Calculated by the “Air Force Medical Authorities”, final decision will rely on them.
Age Bar: 20 to 25 yrs as on 01 January, 2014 Contenders born in between 2nd Jan 1989 to 1st Jan 1995, having age between 20 years to 25years can register themselves.
Hiring for the Period of: Initially for the period of 10 years but it may grant for increase of further 4 years which highly depends upon readiness to work, requirement & vacancy.
Selection Procedure: Selected applicants will be informed for Intelligence Test, Personal Interview and Medical Checkup.
Hiring Process: Written-test, Face to Face Interview
